i wanted to start a new contest.
but wich one???
i thought about a gerbil-club icon contest.
but what do you all think? what do you want?
how much time would you want for a contest??

why gerbils???
there are many species of gerbils but the most common are: the mongolian gerbil, egyptian gerbil and the fat-tail gerbil.
the mongolian gerbils are the most common to be kept as a pet.
Mongolian gerbils are very friendly, social, intelligent, funny, lifely en especially curious animals.
they cant be frightend and they very rarly bite.
these facts all togehter plus the fact that mongolian gerbils are active at day, make them very good pets..
i have gerbils and still love them to death, i fell in love with them the first time i saw them.. i love gerbils, and want to have a gerbil shelter in the future...

i luv my gerbils!!!! this gerbil is the fat brother of wiggles he has a depressing story.......
whiskers was through 4 families trying to get a home to stick through the help of some pet home finder companies. this innocent gerbil was 2 years old and didn't have a home....1 more week and he wold have been put to sleep but then......I showed up! rescuing him from his life of sorrow and bring him to his new home...now whiskers has a happy life with the company of his one year younger adopted brother wiggles.....now he has everything he wants and his loveng owner ME!!!
ps....when i first got him he had broken ribs, tail, infected eye and he had a bleeding hole in his back.....

Jasper came from a huge litter and he was the sole survivor or a bad kitty attack.
I took him away from there and gave him a safe home, but then my (now EX-)girlfriend got a cat.
and s/he ate him too.

then the cat ate all but 4 of the babies, including the mother. One of the surviving babies had its paws bitten off by the cat but was cared for by two of Jaspers sisters... who later died from heartbreak an exaustion caring for their dying little brother.
Leaving Jasper alone and vulnerable.
I decided to take him and care for him.
I got him a tank, but didn't count on Mel getting a cat, a sure determined one that pushed Jasper's
tank off the top off our fridge, the fall would have knocked a cage apart. Either wayhe didn't stand a chance.
